The Hammer Circle Club Lottery
In March 2004 The Hammer Circle launched a Lottery Scheme to raise funds to help our younger members achieve their potential.
The Lottery is organised by the Club's Treasurer Diane Smith, and consists of the purchase of a share (or a number of shares) to be entered into a monthly draw. The winning member then receives a cheque for at least 50% of the money available in that month, the remainder goes into the Lottery Fund.
The scheme is open to Hammer Circle members, supporters, family and friends over 16 years old. Current membership of the Hammer Circle is not required. Lottery number(s) issued will verify your membership of the Draw.
One share/number costs £2 per month which is collected annually (£24) on the 1st March or half yearly (£12) on 1st March and 1st September. NEW MEMBERS CAN JOIN IN AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR by calculating £2 per month to the next collection date.
Current Ticket Price (per number) Up to and including February 2011 (11 draws): £ 22
Up to and including August 2010 (5 draws): £ 10 (for applications received before end of Mar 2010)

New members will be notified of Lottery Draw number(s) by return post or by e-mail. Lottery news updates will be e-mailed to all members after each draw and shown on the website 'News' page. Members not on e-mail will be updated periodically by post.
Money raised this year will fund a team of our most promising junior throwers to travel to Varazdin, Croatia, in July to experience international competition of the highest level in their own age category. Use of future funds will be open to discussion at the Hammer Circle Reunion AGM on the 9th/10th October 2004.
Please support this new venture, we need your help to encourage our potential champions - the future of British Hammer Throwing is in their hands.
Many thanks in anticipation and good luck in the draw!
