The Hammer Circle Trophies

Since its formation in 1952, The Hammer Circle has been acquiring Cups and Trophies for annual awards to its members. Although females had started to attend the Hammer Circle Reunions from 1990 it was not until the AGM of 1995 that the decision was taken to purchase and award trophies to match the male throwers.

Conditions
1. To qualify for an award, a person must have been a member of the Hammer Circle for three months (changed from six months at the 2005 Reunion) prior to the current annual reunion (except for those in notes 6 & 7)
2. The 'season' runs from reunion to reunion
3. Juniors are the European age group. Youths/U17's are as uka rules
4. Distance awards are with own age group weight of hammer
5. Rhodda Trophy (Krivonosov Photo), is open to non-members only if they are invited as special guests
6. Payne, Bertram & Sedykh Trophies are open to non members
7. Athletes are not eligible for 'age' awards outside of their current age category (2007 AGM).
